How to select a vasta?

  1. Birch

Most common.

Sharp leaves break the skin with mild force.

Gives skin a pleasant smell.

Adds oils for protective layer.

Best birch vihta comes from young leaves around June.

Use dried, frozen or fresh.

2. Oak

A large tree with green leaves in a forest, sunlight shining through the branches, and a person standing in the distance.

Doesn’t leave smell.

Can be used with more force.

3. Juniper

Rare occasions. No force needed.

Vihta is a spell of the forest

Using vihta cleans your skin, heals it, and gives you a protective layer.

Vihta is best done with a friend or a pro.

However there is nothing wrong in using it alone either.

Dried vihta’s best to soak in hot water for an approximately an hour.
