Saunas and Olympics go together

Almost everywhere in the world in sporting spaces and with stadions there is a Finnish sauna.

Sauna is an excellent place to relax muscles, since we stay in sauna for long. Even large muscle groups such as the thigh muscles have time to release/loosen up and warm through.

US Olympic and Paralympic committee include saunas in the facilities it has built.

I thought I know saunas – then I came to Estonia!

Now I work with the most talented sauna accessory crafters and materials to manufacture most effective hats.

I feel happy in any spa, especially with new and old friends.

I recommend löyly harder than last time.

Yet take it easy: Sauna is a dangerous place. Be on the look for headaches, dizziness, allergic reactions such as rash, heart aches, palpitations, or asthma ailments.

History of sauna

The word sauna comes from the Proto-Finnic word Sakna.

When Proto-Finnic people west from the Urals and moved into the Baltic sea area, saunas helpt kept people warm.

First saunas likely were stove in a pit with a fabric or a hide roof on top.

For thousand of years saunas had a ground floor.
